Active Care - CENTRAL HEATING & HOT WATER CARE SCHEME

For just £20 per month Active Heating offers same day, unlimited access to our local CORGI or OFTEC registered engineer for all breakdowns, repairs and maintenance services, including the essential annual boiler service, for your central heating and hot water system.

Labour and parts are included (with limited exclusions).

CENTRAL HEATING

A Home Owner's/Landlord’s Gas Safety Certificate is included if applicable.

HOT WATER SYSTEM

What is included:

• Associated pipe work
• Standard tap washers

An initial survey is carried out on both systems before you sign on to the scheme.

Electrical Wiring to Appliances

In addition to our engineering skills we are up to date with the current legal requirement to be qualified and registered to carry out and certify electrical wiring in the home. This adds to the speed and competency of our work. Wiring which is not immediate to the heating/hot water system is not included in the scheme.

Quick Response

We aim to visit you within the same day whenever possible. We also offer reassurance and advice on our Helpline which is open 12 hours a day or 24 hours a day for emergencies.

Ways to Pay

This service is for just £19 per month. There is no extra charge for call outs or labour no matter how many times you call us. Payment is by standing order. We will make a form available to you.

What is NOT Included

We like to be up front with the small print and so here are the exclusions:

• We will repair and maintain but not improve the equipment.
• Parts of the systems may need to be updated before joining the scheme.
• The first power flush. Subsequent ones are included as long as you maintain the agreement. Powerflush is a Trademark.
• Active Care applies to domestic contexts only.
• Either party can cancel with one month’s notice.
• Existing faults.
• Replacing boilers more than five years old.
• Damage by person or people.
• Repairs due to fire, freezing, storm, water or explosion.
• Damage caused by needing to remove fixtures or fittings to carry out work under the agreement.
• Making good fixtures and fittings moved to carry out work under the agreement.
• Pipes or wiring retained within walls.
• Replacing existing system parts which do not comply with current regulations.
• Investigating and repairing/replacing flues.
• Handling asbestos or other dangerous substances.
• Individual appliances e.g. cookers, fires.
• Parts added to the system after the scheme begins.
• Balancing radiators.
• Hot water cylinder.
• Showers.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Your scheme will begin once we have processed the paperwork and when we have carried out the initial survey to ensure your system is safe and compliant.

If work needs to be done at the survey stage, including a service (if your boiler has not been serviced within the last year), we will tell you the cost of the work required to bring it within the scope of the agreement. If we reject the system after this, £38 will be charged for survey work done.

After the contract is signed, either party can cancel with one month’s notice.

Work to your boiler will be done only by local qualified operators directly employed by us or subcontracted to us.

Another visit may be required if we do not carry the required parts.

Personal information will be kept by us only to help us service and track your account. We will not share your personal information with third parties.

Only the person named on the contract will benefit from the agreement and must be present when the work is carried out. In the case of tenancy, only the landlord can request work to be carried out under the scheme.
